MAJOR BLOW FOR MAN UTD AS £78M GOAL MACHINE SNUBS TEN HAG AND ‘OFFERS HIMSELF’ TO REAL MADRID

Manchester United striker target Randal Kolo Muani has reportedly ‘offered his services’ to Real Madrid, as he looks for a move away from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Erik ten Hag has made signing a new centre-forward one of his priorities. So, this news will come as a major blow to his plans.

Indeed, Muani is believed to be one of Man Utd’s key transfer targets. But, if Real Madrid take up the opportunity to sign him, the Red Devils will have to look elsewhere.

Ten Hag’s team have enjoyed a good season, finishing in third place in the Premier League table. They are also set to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Admittedly, though, they have been somewhat reliant on Marcus Rashford’s goals – who has scored 30 across all competitions. As a result, Ten Hag is reportedly keen to bring in at least one new striker.

The likes of Harry Kane, Rasmus Hojlund and Dusan Vlahovic have all been linked with Man Utd. But, Muani has been the most heavily linked target recently.

However, according to Spanish outlet MARCAMuani has now ‘offered’ his services to Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti is currently on the hunt for attacking reinforcements, with the future of Karim Benzema in doubt. Recent reports have claimed that the French international will likely leave Real Madrid to move to Saudi Arabia. But, the latest update on Thursday night revealed that the Los Blancos captain has made a U-turn.

Nevertheless, Madrid seem to be planning for the future, with the Spanish giants linked with the likes of Richarlison and Kane in recent days.

Now, though, they have a golden opportunity to sign Muani – one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe.

This season, the 24-year-old has made 45 appearances across all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt. In the process, he has scored 23 goals and made 17 assists – giving him an average of 0.89 goal contributions per game.

As a result, he has caught the attention of several top European clubs. As mentioned, Man Utd were thought to be leading the race for Muani, but now, Madrid could scupper their plans.

The France international won’t come cheap, though, with Eintracht Frankfurt slapping a £78m price tag on their star man.

So, Madrid will have to pay a hefty sum if they want to sign Muani. If they don’t, the door could open for Man Utd to swoop in and sign the striker.

For now, however, Ten Hag’s focus will no doubt be on Man Utd’s FA Cup final against Man City on Saturday.
